Our group choose to evaluate the student lounge on the the second floor. The lounge is mainly used by students as a place to study, relax, or to take a break and have a snack. The lighting in the space is pretty dim except for the spotlights in the room. The spotlights are not used for lighting the space normally, but more for the artwork that is hung on the walls at various times during the year. The space is medium in size and is a public space, but it is more intimate in scale. While anyone can come here, it is mainly individuals that come and not large groups. The overall impression of the space is that it evokes no emotion. The lighting that is there serves only as a function give light to the room and nothing else.
